The story

Taal Ivory belongs to Quiet Geometry. Grids, fine lines and tonal blocks for rooms built on proportion — calm, precise and deliberately restrained. The design pairs an architectural grid with occasional solid cells and a few decisive diagonals with a palette of ivory and grey.

Materials
Close-up of the cotton surface

Cotton. Crisp, breathable and lightweight; the classic dhurrie fibre.

Many flatweaves can be spot cleaned; check label before washing.

Craft

Flatweave. Pileless textiles in which the weft forms the surface; reversible in many cases and light underfoot.

Flat-woven, weft-faced; reversible.

Woven by hand on a loom. The weft may show gentle irregularities in tension and tone — a natural result of hand weaving, not a flaw.

Handmade variation — a shift in tone, a slightly irregular edge — is the character of the process, not a defect.

Care

Many flatweaves can be spot cleaned; check label before washing. Shake out or vacuum on both sides; many flatweaves are reversible and can be turned to even out wear. Use a rug pad to keep the piece flat and in place.

  • Kabir T. ·

    Great quality

Heavier than expected in a good way. Delivery team was careful.

  • Charlotte M. ·

    Beautiful craftsmanship

You can feel the handwork. Slight tonal variation across the field makes it feel alive.

  • Olivia M. ·

    Nice but darker than expected

Good quality, though the tone is deeper than it looked on my screen. Kept it.
