Hand-tufted rugs are made by punching yarn through a stretched backing cloth with a hand-held tool, then sheared and finished by hand. Small variations in pile height and colour are part of the handmade character.
Handmade variation — a shift in tone, a slightly irregular edge — is the character of the process, not a defect.
Care
Vacuum regularly; spot clean with care. Some shedding is normal in the first months and settles with regular vacuuming. Professional cleaning recommended. Use a rug pad to keep the piece flat and in place.
