About

A design house whose medium is rugs

Carprugs is new, and honest about it. These pages set out what we believe, how our rugs are made and what we will — and will not — claim.

Our Story

Carprugs is a new rug and carpet house built on Indian craft and a quiet, contemporary eye.

Our Philosophy
Restraint, clarity and respect for the hand: the principles that shape every Carprugs rug.
Craftsmanship
How our rugs are made, from the first drawing to the finished edge, and why the process matters.
Materials
Wool, silk, cotton, jute and plant-based fibres: what we use, and how each behaves in a room.
Sustainability
Our principles and intentions. We will publish specific details only as they are verified.
Our Makers
The principles we ask our weaving partners to share, and what we intend to document as we verify it.
Quality
What we check, what we expect, and how we think about handmade character.
