Designer Collaboration
Collaborations with designers and artists
Work directly with our studio to translate your design language into floor art.

Our approach
We are interested in working with designers, architects and artists who want to explore what a rug can be. A collaboration might begin with a drawing, a photograph, a material or simply a conversation about a room.
Our role is to help translate an idea into a handmade object: advising on construction, fibre, scale and colour, and on what will and will not translate well into knots or wefts. We develop samples together and refine the design until it works in wool as well as it did on paper.
Collaborations are credited clearly, and terms are agreed at the outset. If you have an idea you would like to explore, we would be glad to hear from you.
We approach every collaboration with respect for both the designer's vision and the weaver's skill. The most successful pieces tend to emerge when both are given room: when the design is allowed to change a little in translation, and the craft is allowed to show.
