Accessibility

We want everyone to be able to browse, read and buy from Carprugs, whatever device they use and however they access the web. This page explains our commitment and how to contact us.

Our commitment

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA across our website. Accessibility is part of how we design and build, not an afterthought, and we test our pages as we develop them.

What we have done

• Keyboard access. All interactive elements, including navigation, filters, product galleries, the basket and checkout, can be reached and operated with a keyboard. Focus states are clearly visible.
• Reduced motion. If you have set your device to reduce motion, we minimise animation and transitions across the site.
• Alternative text. Product and editorial images have text alternatives describing their content. Purely decorative images are marked so that assistive technologies can ignore them.
• Readable text. We use clear typography with sufficient colour contrast, and text can be resized without loss of content or function.
• Structure. Pages use meaningful headings, landmarks and labels so that screen reader users can navigate efficiently.
• Forms. Form fields have visible labels, and errors are described in text, not by colour alone.
• Colour. Information is never conveyed by colour alone. Where we show rug colours, we name them in text.
• Responsive design. The site works across screen sizes and supports zoom.

Known limitations

We are a new business and our site is still developing. Some content, such as older embedded media or third-party components, may not yet fully meet our standard. We review the site regularly and address issues as we find them.

If you have difficulty using any part of our site, or if you find something that does not meet the standard above, please tell us through the contact page. Let us know the page, what you were trying to do and, if you are comfortable sharing it, the assistive technology you use. We will reply as soon as we can and, where possible, help you complete your order another way in the meantime.

We are also happy to provide product information, care guides and policies in an alternative format on request.
