Cookie Policy

What cookies are

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. We also use your browser's own storage for a few conveniences on this device. Everything below is set by Carprugs itself: the site loads no advertising, social-media or third-party tracking scripts.

Essential

These are needed for the site to work or to do what you ask, so they are always on.

• cr_consent (cookie): Remembers your cookie choices. 12 months.
• cr_cart (cookie): Keeps your bag while you shop. 60 days.
• cr_orders (cookie): Lets this browser open the confirmation page of an order it placed (signed, so it can't be altered). 30 days.
• cr_session (cookie): Keeps you signed in to your account. 30 days, or until you sign out.
• cr_admin (cookie): Keeps studio staff signed in to the administration area. 12 hours.
• cr_2fa, cr_2fa_admin (cookie): Holds a pending two-step verification while you sign in. 10 minutes.
• cr_otp_login, cr_otp_password_reset, cr_otp_change_email (cookie): Ties an emailed code to the browser that asked for it. 30 minutes.
• cr_reset_grant (cookie): Completes a password reset after the emailed code is confirmed. 10 minutes.
• cr_wish (cookie): Keeps the rugs you save before signing in. 12 months.
• cr_currency, cr_country (cookie): Remembers the currency and delivery country you chose. 12 months.
• cr_compare, cr_staff (cookie): Studio staff only: comparison and diagnostic tools. 30 days.

Analytics

Our own measurement of how the site is used: pages visited, searches, products viewed and steps through checkout. Stored by us, not shared with advertisers, and never containing your password, payment details, emailed codes or delivery address. These cookies are set only after you choose "Accept all" or turn Analytics on.

• cr_sid (cookie): Groups the pages of one visit for our own analytics. 30 minutes after your last page.
• cr_vid (cookie): Recognises a returning browser in our own analytics (linked to your account only if you are signed in). 12 months.

Marketing

We don't use marketing or advertising cookies. If that changes, the service will be named here first and nothing will run until you allow it.

Browser storage

• cr_checkout_v1 (session storage): Keeps the checkout details you've typed if the page reloads. Card details are never kept. Cleared when the order is placed or the tab is closed. Until the tab closes.
• cr_bespoke_v1 (session storage): Keeps a bespoke request you're writing if the page reloads. Until the tab closes.
• cr_loaded, cr_seen_facts, cr_bespoke_started (session storage): Avoids repeating the opening animation and facts you've already seen. Until the tab closes.
• cr_recent, cr_recent_searches (local storage): Shows the rugs you viewed and searches you made, on this device only. Until you clear it.
• cr_compare, cr_catalogue_view, cr_bespoke_previews (local storage): Remembers your comparison list, catalogue view and bespoke previews, on this device only. Until you clear it.

Changing your choice

Choose "Cookie settings" at the foot of any page to accept, reject or change your choice at any time. Turning analytics off stops it straight away and removes its cookies. You can also delete cookies in your browser's settings.
