Before you decide
Munj Straw belongs to Earth & Fibre. Jute, natural fibre and undyed wool in textured weaves and braids — rugs where the fibre itself is the design. The design pairs bands and pinstripes of varying width — the classic language of the Indian dhurrie with a palette of gold and beige.

Natural Fibre. Sisal, hemp and plant fibres with an architectural texture.
Vacuum regularly; avoid moisture.
Flatweave. Pileless textiles in which the weft forms the surface; reversible in many cases and light underfoot.
Flat-woven, weft-faced; reversible.
Woven by hand on a loom. The weft may show gentle irregularities in tension and tone — a natural result of hand weaving, not a flaw.
Handmade variation — a shift in tone, a slightly irregular edge — is the character of the process, not a defect.
Vacuum regularly; avoid moisture. Shake out or vacuum on both sides; many flatweaves are reversible and can be turned to even out wear. Use a rug pad to keep the piece flat and in place.

You can feel the handwork. Slight tonal variation across the field makes it feel alive.

The colours are softer and richer than on screen. It anchors the whole living room.

Heavier than expected in a good way. Delivery team was careful.
