The story
Kesar Sandstone belongs to Desert Loom. Warm terracottas, rust and ochre in kilim-inspired and tribal geometries, with the dry texture of the desert. The design pairs stacked, stepped lozenges with hooked edges, drawn from the vocabulary of village weaving with a palette of terracotta and beige.

Materials

Wool. Naturally resilient, soil-resistant and warm underfoot.
Vacuum without a beater bar; blot spills immediately.
Craft
Hand Woven. Woven on a loom by hand, interlacing warp and weft to create pile or flat textures.
Hand-woven on a frame loom.
Woven by hand on a loom. The weft may show gentle irregularities in tension and tone — a natural result of hand weaving, not a flaw.
Handmade variation — a shift in tone, a slightly irregular edge — is the character of the process, not a defect.
Care
Vacuum without a beater bar; blot spills immediately. Shake out or vacuum on both sides; many flatweaves are reversible and can be turned to even out wear. Use a rug pad to keep the piece flat and in place.

Even better in the room
The colours are softer and richer than on screen. It anchors the whole living room.

Great quality
Heavier than expected in a good way. Delivery team was careful.
Monpa carpet makers in Tawang traditionally spin wool from local Himalayan sheep by hand, and girls learn to weave from an early age.
